Minor snow accumulations around a trace up to an inch will be possible by early Friday morning mainly north of Lake Tahoe and in upper elevations according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. With this system comes with a Winter Weather Advisory Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Waves 2 to 3 feet with the highest along the northeastern shores.
